The Church Roadvale is a luxurious country bed and breakfast in the heart of the Scenic Rim.
Sleeping up to 6 and with plenty of room to spread out, this is a great property for families or a girl's get-away.
The Space
The Church offers modern convenience in an historic setting. It can sleep up to 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs each with a queen bed and an upstairs loft space with 2 king single beds (the loft stairs are quite steep if mobility is a concern). There is one brand new bathroom with a separate toilet for privacy and convenience.
The open living area has a lounge with smart TV, fireplace and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen has every thing you will need, including chef's oven, full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. The kitchen is always stocked with tea, coffee and milk as well as a delicious continental breakfast for your first night's stay. A fireplace and air conditioning provide year round comfort.
The huge outdoor deck is perfect for entertaining whilst enjoying the mountain views and surrounding farmland. The firepit is a lovely addition to the enormous backyard to gather in the evening for star gazing.
The space has been described as a 'home away from home' with every convenience thought of including all kitchen items, dishwashing equipment, shampoo, conditioner, shower caps, hair dyer, iron and blue tooth speaker. The bar is stocked with every glass imaginable for cocktail evenings or the wine enthusiast.
The Setting
Located just 1 hour from Brisbane, The Church Roadvale is set on half an acre of land, nestled in the peaceful rural hamlet of Roadvale. It’s the perfect location to relax and enjoy the mountain views, all within minutes to Boonah and Kalbar. You will enjoy convenience, space and serenity in our peaceful country escape.
The Roadvale Hotel is located across the road and is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Visit early for coffee and snacks, the bar opens at 10 and its lunches and dinners from renowned head chef Daniel Groneberg are very popular.
History
The locality of Roadvale takes its name from the former railway station which was named by the Queensland Railways Department in 1887, because of its location at a road junction.
Before the big fire of 1915, where most of the town was destroyed, Roadvale was one of the region’s most thriving towns with 3 local pubs and several other businesses. Today, the peaceful hamlet has just one welcoming country pub and many friendly local residents.
Previously ‘The Church Roadvale' was the town’s former Baptist Church, opened on 18th April 1947, it has now been luxuriously converted to accommodate up to 6 guests.

Located in the beautiful Scenic Rim, only 10 minutes to both Boonah and Kalbar, it is the perfect location to relax and unwind. Enjoy the mountain views amidst the peaceful farmland, all within minutes to the many attractions the area has to offer.
During your stay why not visit the local wineries and farms, drive to Lake Moogerah or hike a nearby mountain. You could host a cooking class to sample the local produce or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings.
